Today I set the children an egg challenge. They had to build a structure that would stop an egg from breaking if it was dropped from a large height. Each group had some newspaper, sticks, tape and a paper plate. All groups succeeded but unfortunately Mr B broke a few eggs. Check it out.

Today in class we had a Tower Building Challenge. Groups were given newspaper, ice-block sticks, bluetac and a few other bits and pieces. The challenge was who could build the tallest free standing tower within one hour. Michael, Kyle and Elizabeth were the winners. Check it out.

Hi everyone, today we were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr Paul Murray, a Crown Prosecutor. It was so interesting learning about his job and how the New Zealand legal system works.
Hopefully one day someone from Room 5 will go on to become one. I think being a Crown Prosecutor would be a challenging and rewarding job.
