Hey Team, great work today, I thought our Assembly Item was awesome. Thanks for all your hard work. On the sidebar is a copy of our Fair Go Ad entry. You can only watch it if you have broadband. The topic was sell your home town and the Ad was only allowed to be 30 seconds.

Check it out, we have worked hard to produce it and have our fingers crossed that we make it on to the Fair Go show in September. Please complete the Poll above it and tell us what you think about our Ad.

Term 1-2 Photostory

Hey everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and you have battened down the hatches. Mr B is snuggling down on the couch to watch the All Blacks. It’s going to be a huge match.

Just a reminder that Science Projects are due in on Thursday. Dr Andrew Gilby will be marking them on Friday and parents and interested parties are able to view them after school on Friday and Monday during the day. Room 5 also have an Assembly Item on Friday so come along and see what we have been up to.

Mr Baker will put aside a little time each afternoon this week for children to work on their Projects and put on their finishing touches. Children who have finished will be able to help others and complete some fun art tasks.

Also there will again be NO HOMEWORK as I want children to finish their Science Projects. Children who have finished can start on their ACE Project. Normal homework will start week 3.

Congratulations to everyone who moved up a Spelling Level on Friday (Emma, Courtney, Kelsi, Eliza and Joshua Watson). You all ROCK!!!! Keep trying everyone else, I’m sure you’ll succeed soon. Also Congratulations to Eliza for been P.O.W. The trophy, couch and bracelet are all yours for the week.

No one has got the student or parent Voki’s. The student one is somewhere in Asia while the parent one is not in America or Europe. Good luck!! If you’re really keen you’ll figure out where Kyle is. It’s an easy one.

Room 5’s Fair Go Ad Team has finished their Ad and have sent it off to Auckland. Thanks for all your hard work team, I have got my fingers crossed that we make it onto the Show in September. The Ad looks Great!!

THERE IS NO HOMEWORK FOR WEEK ONE!!!!!!!

I am not giving out any Homework for Week 1 as I want everyone to concentrate on their Science Projects. Science Projects are due in on Thursday of Week Two.

Hey everybody, I flew into Wellington this morning and it’s nice to be back home. We had a great time in Melbourne and shopped up a storm.

Highlights include going to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (childhood dream), going up the Eureka Tower (highest building in the southern hemisphere), shopping on Chapel Street (cool shops) and going to Draculas Theme Restaurant.

I definitely recommend Melbourne and If Mr Baker was a bit younger I would be quite keen to live there for a few years.

Anyway hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and doing lots of exciting things. Send me a comment telling me what you have been up to, I would love to read them. I plan on going to school this week to get ready for the term ahead. Be prepared for a few changes as I have got some new ideas I want to try out.

VOKI CHALLENGES - I will have a new student Voki Challenge up tomorrow with the new P.O.W. The Parent Voki Challenge is proving pretty hard. Come on parents get guessing!!!!!!!! Here’s a clue to help you out, it’s somewhere in America.

Hope everyone is working on their Science Projects, I can’t wait to see them. I’m going to put up some Maths and Science challenges on the Blog in the next couple of days so tune in and have a go if you have nothing to do.

Mr B is putting his feet up tonight and watching the All Blacks. I predict a tight game but hopefully we will win!!!!!

Hey everyone, yes the rumours are true. Mr Baker got married last week and tomorrow he is off to Melbourne on his Honeymoon. On an even more exciting note, he and his wife are expecting their first child which is due in early January. How’s that for BIG NEWS!!!
